Ethos
Well Creative Minds is an Organisation that prides itself on delivering an exceptional, premium tailored service, and part of that is really understanding each participant as a whole person, their unique situation, wants, needs and goals.
We understand how hard it can be to feel heard and understood, that is why we invest in people who get it, who want to get to know the unique individuals they get to work with, who have the knowledge and skillset needed to really deliver a well rounded, holistic consistent service where participants feel empowered and well supported.
We embrace diversity, individuality, and believe everyone is different which is what makes them special in their own unique way. We also understand the ebs and flows that come with living with a psychosocial disability or mental health condition and all the challenges that come with it as part of the recovery journey and dealing with the NDIS ..
We understand what is lacking in the NDIS space and we strive to fill that gap, with people who are empathetic, compassionate, kind, patient and experienced to work with participants of all ages, backgrounds, and psychosocial disabilities, as well as mental health conditions or challenges that impact their day to day functioning and ability to lead an independent and fulfilling life.
We work collaboratively with each individual, their family, loved ones and support coordinators and allied health teams, to ensure we are all on the same page and the participant is getting the care and supports they need to empower them in achieving their desired outcomes.
Our Values
Commitment
Well Creative Minds aim to assist participant/s with their goals, encouraging the participant, to help them feel safe to make empowering decisions that support their long-term well-being and personal development so that they can live life to the full, as independently as possible. We endeavour to match participants with an appropriate worker with relevant skills, qualifications and experience to deliver the proposed services.
Compassion
Being kind and compassionate can help other people, and make you feel good too. That is why we ensure those we bring onto our team share these same values. Research also shows those who are kind and compassionate are more satisfied with their lives, have better physical and mental health, and have stronger relationships meaning they are more able to support others more effectively.
Collaboration
We work collaboratively with the participant’s wider network of providers, support coordinators and allied health team to help participants feel empowered and supported as they achieve their goals that promote well-being, and personal development so they can live life to the full, as independently as possible. Our services are individualised, flexible, evidence-based, holistic, and collaborative with a person-centred focus.
Creativity
The Creative Life is full of new possibilities, discoveries, exploration, self-expression and research says it helps improve mental health & wellbeing. “It’s our capacity to “create” is where we begin to live more fully, experience transformation, and recover the core of what it means to heal ” ~ Cathy Machiodi, Phd. It is a central force of meaning in our lives. Learn more about how creativity improves our mental health and wellbeing here.
Ethical
Providing safe and ethical services that meet the NDIS code of conduct and serve the participants best interests is very important to us. It is also important to us that we look after our support workers and team whom provide these services which means adhering to other legislation such as safe work and national employment standards. This might also mean we may not be the right fit for some who are seeking services from us. And if this is the case we will always provide our reasoning and strive to be truthful, fair and honest.
Empathy
Research shows greater empathy leads to more helping behaviour and it helps us understand how others are feeling so we can respond more appropriately to the situation. Understanding others is at the core of what we do. And research shows those with lived experience, and have had to overcome adversity often have more empathy. Many of our team members have lived experience, with the awareness and knowledge to understand how to support others.
Integrity
Integrity is a very important value we instil within our organisation and with everyone we work with. We are an Organisation that is honest and transparent in all that we do. We value honesty and open discussions with everyone we work with, internally and externally. It is important we demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness, as well as take responsibility and accountability in the work we do in the Organisation and with the participants, their families and support coordinators we work with.
